Sixth Annual Fetal Echocardiography Symposium at UCLA

I am happy to announce the
Sixth Annual Fetal Echocardiography Symposium at UCLA:

Practical Essentials of Fetal Cardiac Screening,
to be held on
Saturday, October 15, 2016.

This sixth annual symposium promises to be a phenomenal success, with a renewed and explicit focus on screening, an esteemed multidisciplinary faculty, and an exciting relocation to the state-of-the-art Luskin Conference Center at UCLA.

The sixth annual fetal echocardiography symposium will sharpen its focus to provide a full-day dedicated to real-life tips and pearls specifically for those physicians and sonographers who perform or interpret fetal cardiac screening examinations. State-of-the-art presentations by international experts in the field will address clinically relevant topics, such as: what are the current guidelines, how to optimize the image, specific details on how to scan and interpret the four-chamber view/right and left ventricular outflow tracts/three-vessel trachea view, how to recognize and interpret major forms of heart disease (including special clues for the detection of ventricular septal defects, aortic/pulmonary stenosis, transposition of the great arteries, tetralogy of Fallot, coarctation of the aorta, TAPVR and others), how to evaluate subtle findings such as pericardial effusion, left ventricular echogenic foci, right/left heart disproportion, and other cardiac findings frequently encountered in clinical practice.

If you are looking for statistics or reviews of the literature, this course is not for you. But if you are looking to improve your ability to scan or to interpret scans of the fetal heart, this highly popular annual symposium may be among the most valuable courses you will have ever attended.

The sixth annual fetal echocardiography symposium at UCLA will be among the first to be held at the brand new, state-of-the-art Luskin Conference Center (,opening August, 2016. Located squarely in the middle of the UCLA campus, directly across from the world-famous Pauley Pavilion and the John Wooden Center, the Luskin Conference Center will provide expanded, comfortable seating in a beautiful and spacious ballroom, a deluxe luncheon and refreshments throughout the day, and a special area for exhibitors. Reduced pricing for brand new, luxurious hotel rooms (on site within the Luskin Conference Center) will be available starting in May, 2016 (via Group Reservations/online Weblink) for those who wish to spend additional time in one of the most relaxing and beautiful areas of West Los Angeles.
