Fetal Echocardiography Belgic Centers
Detection of cardiac structural or functional anomaly during fetal echocardiography can result in better managing
of pregnancy and care for the fetus due to the cooperative effort of obstetrician/perinatologist,
pediatrician/neonatologist, pediatric cardiologist , pediatric cardiac surgeon.
This work up include:
- Cordonocenthesis for ematological studies ( antibody,karyotyping)
- Monitoring of fetal well being
- Medical transplacental therapy
- Transplacental interventional valvuloplasty
- Proper selection of time of delivery
- Proper modalities of delivery ( caesareous or spontaneous)
- Proper location and personal for the delivery.
The maternal in uthero transport of the fetus, is preferable to emergency neonatal trasport versus
a tertiary cardio-surgery departement.
